The mail is moving again!
Well, a few hours ago it officially became winter. YAY. I am not a cold weather enthusiast in the least. It's 3F/-16C here and I need to hit some downtown boutique shops for a couple of more gifts for Mrs. TnT.
1938 Gallaher Butterflies and Moths set. These three put me at 9 out of the 48 cards in the set.
This card is from the 1911 Imperial Tobacco Co. of Canada Butterflies and Moths set of 50. I've got a ways to go as this is only my second. Some of these unbranded sets can be very challenging to identify as many are cataloged as "Anonymous". I would love to see an image of the album that is mentioned on the back. I'd say it must be nice, for the price. About eight bucks in todays money.
A very badly miscut (hand cut?) specimen from 1934 Garbaty Das Auto Von Heute "The Car of Today". It's a 255 card set so I will not be chasing this. This will go into the Type binder.
This train set is not listed on Trading Card Database, yet. As I do some volunteer work for TCDB I am working towards getting this set listed. I do know it is a 300 card Garbaty Schienen-Wunder cigarette set from 1934. Finding a checklist has eluded me so far. If you know a source or even have it and are willing to share, please comment below. Here is the front cover of the album for this set.
As I mentioned earlier, this was MAIL!! The five week Canada Post strike is over, for now. The cards that have been in limbo may finally make it here. This order was filled on November 2nd. Two COMC orders and a couple of more from Sportlots. I'll post these as they arrive.
Have a great weekend! Enjoy the last minute shopping mayhem.
