The finale of the TCDB buy

It has been hard to find time to sit down and get any meaningful card stuff done. In the home building industry this time of the year is a hectic ramp up to the busy season coming up. The economy and a trade war has just added to the stress.

The third and final segment of this TCDB buy seems like it has been in the draft folder forever. Let's wrap it up now with the modern era.

An auto to start with, 2018 Panini Elite Extra Edition, Samad Taylor. It is an on-card auto with a nice fine Sharpie.

Never did make the Jays lineup but at least he has 34 game appearances with the Royals and Mariners.

The key card in this group is the 2017 Topps Gallery Bogaerts which is an SP. This set is one of my favs and an very active pursuit. I'm down to 38 SPs. These are not cheap! The goal is to pick up one or two a month. I could go hard on these but that wouldn't leave funds for anything else.

The black Reese McGuire is numbered out of 299.

Lots of set help in those two groupings. 2021 Stadium Club sits at three quarters done. The 2021 Topps Archives set will be put to bed with these and the next COMC mailer.

2019 Panini Leather & Lumber Leather Triple Relics-Bats "player used material".

I love the colors on these cards! 2023 Bowman Platinum. The 2018 set is easily top ten of smaller sets for me. The next few years were blah. Mediocre foil and nondescript. Then they brought crazy patterns and color back!

It does appear this brand has hit the end of the road with the bean counters at Fanatics.

2023 Big League mixed bag here. The Jung in the center is a "Rare Blue". A trio of set helpers in the football genre. Operator error on the cropping here, oops.

One more card in this series of posts,

2014 Panini Prizm of fan favorite Shawn Green.

That's it!

Now I can move on to other stuff that has been accumulating. Until then, thanks for reading and happy collecting.

  2. Curious... What is your strategy for payment and shipping when purchasing from our American friends? The service charges and shipping costs often scare me away from making purchases.

    1. Right now I am limiting my purchases from the US to envelopes and bubble mailers. No box orders. Over on Vintage Non-Sports there was a great discussion on tariffs being applied to box orders. It's crazy right now.

    2. It is crazy! I have a box waiting to ship at COMC due to the tariffs.

Question, part two - Do you pay with cash? Paypal? Money order? Perhaps you have a US bank account or have found some elusive sellers that take wire transfer?
